NEW TAYLOR LIFT
TRUCKS HELP HAITI
An urgent order was given to Taylor Machine Works
just weeks after the devastating earthquake hit Haiti. Two new Taylor
TX-220S machines went into quick service in Haiti shortly thereafter.
With the excellent assistance of the region’s Taylor dealer, the pair of
ten tons trucks were on a vessel from Miami just five days after the
dealer received the order.
Once these machines hit port a few days later, they were quickly removed
from the vessel. Within hours, they were working at Haiti’s main airport
in Port O Prince, handling supplies being air freighted in from around
the world.
The trucks are working around the clock, seven days per week. The
Taylor’s were chosen due to their known reputation for operations in
extremely rugged conditions.
The TX-220S is rated 22,000 lbs. (10 MT) at a 24 inch (600mm) load
center. It has a very short wheelbase as well. The TX series all utilize
the Taylor Integrated Control System, which allows a complete package of
