1. SIX TRUCKS TO THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

A recent order of six trucks was completed to the Dominican Republic.  The Models shipped included (4) TX-180S forklifts, (1) TXH-350L forklift, (1) RS-9972C and (1) RS-9975C reach stackers.  The trucks will be used inland at one of the largest mine sites within the DR for a variety of handling requirements.

After the machines arrived at the site, Ed Maloney of Taylor International was dispatched to guide the assembly and testing of each machine.  Thereafter, site personnel were trained on the proper operation and maintenance of the package of trucks. 

The machine sale was negotiated and completed by Industrial Distributors (IDICO), the authorized Taylor distributor for the Dominican Republic.

3. Taylor announces their NEW RTGB-5040 for handling Wind Mill parts, blades and tower post

Wind Mills consist of the following parts; blades, tower post, nose cone and generator. Currently the blades and towers are being handled with one or two reach stackers depending on weight and center of gravity distance. The nose cones are being handled in some areas with T-520M's. The generators can weigh up to almost 200,000 lbs. and are currently being lifted with a construction boom/cable type crane.

Taylor is proposing the following.
Attached you will find a brochure for the RTGB-5040 rubber tired gantry crane for handling wind mill parts. The crane has 50,000 lbs. capacity and has a nominal 40' inside clear width, see the specs. The blades can be up to 202' long and weigh 39,100 lbs. which can not be handled with one reach stacker. This is where the NEW RTGB-5040 blade handler comes in, to handle all blade sizes from the 140' to the 202'. This crane can lift and carry the blades and tower post (up to 50,000 lbs). This crane requires a concrete pad to drive down and 60' square pad to turn the crane around.

5. Taylor introduces the NEW TX-4030 Rigger Truck

Taylor's new TX-4030 Rigger Truck features include:

• Basic Capacity 30,000 lbs at 36" Load Center, 132 Inch Wheelbase         Rigger Application: 40,000 lbs capacity at 36 inch Load Center if traveling less than 1 mph up to 48 inch lift
• All welded steel chassis
• Counterweight sections are sloped to provide increased visibility for the operator
• 47-gallon capacity fuel tank
• Cab, 2-Door, includes one 40,000 BTU heater, one circulation fan, front and rear windshield  wipers. Cab can be manually tilted for service access.
